Dota 2: 9pasha and ArsZeeqq leave Virtus.Pro

The International 2019 was not the event that Virtus.Pro thought it would be. Similar to previous years, they absolutely dominated during the DPC season but crumbled at TI itself. Following their breakdown in Shanghai, Virtus.Pro says goodbye to Pavel ‘9pasha’ Khvastunov and Arseniy ‘ArsZeeqq’ Usov.

Virtus.Pro Dota 2 Team Changes

9pasha

It seems like VP need to change something in order to unleash their full potential. That’s why as of today, Pavel “9pasha” Khvastunov and Arseniy “ArsZeeqq” Usov are no longer part of the team.

According to the official announcement, 9pasha is moving to VP’s biggest rivals in the CIS region – Natus Vincere.

“Pasha is a true veteran and one of the most respected players of CIS Dota. I can hardly imagine VP without him, but sooner or later everything comes to an end. We are endlessly grateful for Pavel’s contribution to our success and wish him the best of luck in NAVI,” said VP’s general managed Roman Dvoryankin.

9pasha will replace Evgeniy ‘Blizzy’ Ree, who was the current offlaner for Na’Vi. According to the Ukrainian organization, he take a short vacation until they decide the options for his future career.

ArsZeeqq

There is no information regarding ArsZeeqq’s future at the moment. By the looks of it, he will not make the switch to Na’Vi alongside his teammate. Having said that, we will probably learn soon enough.

The question now is what will happen to Virtus.Pro. Even though they did not perform as expected, a total team “redesign” is unlikely. After all, they are still one of the best teams in the world. That said, Alexey “Solo” Berezin posted a picture on Instagram saying that “If you don’t break TI, TI breaks you”, which raises a lot of questions.
