Dota 2: Team Aster Announces New Roster

Team Aster used to be one of the most promising Chinese teams a couple of months ago. However, they were just unable to utilize their full potential, despite the fact that they had the needed players. This led to the teams’ downfall and missing out on most of the big DPC events.

Having said that, it seems like the organization decided that it’s high time to do some changes. After the announcement of Song “Sccc” Chun joining the team, we now know the name of its entire roster after Team Aster announced it on the Chinese platform Weibo.

New Lineup

Undoubtedly the most interesting part is the addition of Pan ‘Fade’ Yi. The ex-Vici Gaming player was involved in a big scandal just after TI 9 concluded. Supposedly, he was under “attack” from Royal Never Give Up during TI in order to make a move to their line-up.

Despite the fact that this turned out to be false, the damage was already done. Fade decided to quit professional Dota and enjoy some time off. That said, it seems like his vacation got canceled a little bit too early after he got invited to join the newest Chinese team.

We still don’t know the exact position distribution among the new squad. Of course, Sccc will most likely take over mid, but that’s pretty much the only “secure” guess here. Regardless of that, Team Aster once again has an excellent lineup under their banner. Hopefully this time they will have more luck because, in the last couple of years, the professional Dota 2 scene is heavily dominated by the western teams.
