BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2023 Revealed

BLAST has announced the official groups for the upcoming BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2023 event

BLAST has revealed the groups for their highly anticipated BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2023 event, marking the return of international LAN competitions after the summer break. The tournament will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark between July 12-23 and feature 12 participants.

The organizers split the teams into three different groups, with each group consisting of four participants.The tournament will follow a double-elimination format, meaning teams will have the opportunity to compete in multiple matches before facing elimination. Each match within the groups will be decided in a best-of-three format.
The winners of each group will go through to the next phase of the BLAST circuit, which is the BLAST Fall Final. The remaining teams, meanwhile, will enter a single-elimination bracket. Three teams will survive this stage of the competition and qualify for the BLAST Fall Final. The rest will have to settle for Fall Showdown.

Group A

• Vitality (France)

• Ninjas In Pyjamas (Sweden)

• Complexity (USA)

• Evil Geniuses (USA)

Group A features an impressive lineup, with Vitality, the current Major Champions, leading the pack. They will be showcasing their new addition, Shahar “⁠flameZ⁠” Shushan, who joined the team as a replacement for Peter “⁠dupreeh⁠” Rasmussen during the off-season. Complexity and Evil Geniuses are the North American representatives in the group, while Swedish giants Ninjas in Pyjamas round up the quartet. NIP will be led by Hampus “⁠hampus⁠” Poser, who will make his first competitive appearance since returning from hiatus. 

Group B

• Heroic (Denmark)

• Natus Vincere (Ukraine)

• Astralis (Denmark)

• BIG (Germany)

In Group B, the spotlight will be on the top Danish teams as Heroic, the reigning spring champions, and the new-look Astralis take the stage. Astralis, under the guidance of Peter “⁠casle⁠” Ardenskjold, underwent substantial changes in their lineup during the summer, welcoming Johannes “⁠b0RUP⁠” Borup and Victor “⁠Staehr⁠” Staehr while making the decision to bench Lukas “⁠gla1ve⁠” Rossander.

Natus Vincere are also set to enter the arena with their revamped lineup, including Aleksi “⁠Aleksib⁠” Virolainen, Mihai “⁠iM⁠” Ivan, and Justinas “⁠jL⁠” Lekavicius. BIG, on the other hand, will make their debut with their talented academy prospects and the skilled Mateusz “⁠mantuu⁠” Wilczewski.

• OG (Poland)

The last group promises thrilling matchups as top-five teams FaZe and G2 face off against the newly-formed European Liquid lineup, featuring Robert “⁠Patsi⁠” Isyanov and Aleks “⁠Rainwaker⁠” Petrov. Fans will expect OG to bring the heat with their freshly assembled lineup, consisting of Iulian “⁠regali⁠” Harjău, Nils “⁠k1to⁠” Gruhne, and Dion “⁠FASHR⁠” Derksen.
