Cloud9’s CSGO team manager Aleksandr “Sweetypotz” Shcherbakov recently posted a mysterious message on Telegram, suggesting that an upcoming announcement is on the horizon for the US-Russian organization
Igniting curiosity and anticipation, Aleksandr “Sweetypotz” Shcherbakov, who is currently overseeing Cloud9's CSGO roster as the team’s manager, recently sent out a mysterious message via Telegram. He only wrote “July 2 at 12 Moscow Time.” Sweetypotz did not specify what will happen at the said time, which led to a series of speculation in the CSGO community.

One of the possibilities could be the announcement of former Natus Vincere stars Denis “electroNic” Sharipov and Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutskiy. Reports broke out in late June that Cloud9 are actively pursuing deals for electroNic and Perfecto, who have fallen out of favor at NAVI. If the ESL Pro League Season 17 runner-ups do manage to land both, they would be replacing Timur “buster” Tulepov and Abay “HObbit” Khassenov.

electroNic fanned the flames of speculation by sharing a photo on social media a few days later. In the picture, he was seen standing next to the iconic Cloud9 logo, accompanied by Cloud 9 star Abay “HObbit” Khasenov. No official news regarding his move to Cloud9 followed, however. Is Sweetypotz teasing the big reveal of electroNic as a Cloud9 player? We will have to wait a few hours and find out.
