Sprout Reveal New Roster

Sprout have announced a new roster with three new arrivals

Sprout have finalized their new CSGO roster, introducing three fresh faces: Ighor “w0nderful” Zhdanov, Rasmus “raalz” Steensborg, and Olle “spooke” Grundström. The organization also revealed its plans to establish an academy lineup, demonstrating its commitment to nurturing young talents.

The latest additions to the Sprout roster have led to the departure of Victor “Staehr” Staehr, Laurențiu “lauNX” Țârlea, and Adrian “XELLOW” Guță. Staehr has moved on to join Astralis, Țârlea has found a new team in Falcons, and XELLOW was released from the roster during the summer tournament break.

Among the trio, w0nderful stands out as the key signing, making a remarkable move from Spirit to Sprout. The Ukrainian AWPer's addition is particularly significant, given his exceptional performance as the best player on the Russian squad, consistently achieving an impressive 1.13 rating over the course of a year, even while being benched during the team's rebuilding phase.

Sprout's fresh lineup sees the return of raalz, the most senior and battle-hardened player, for his second term with the organization. Having previously served as the in-game leader from 2021-2022, raalz now hands over the captaincy reins to the promising 18-year-old Daniil “alpha” Demin, who joined the team in May.

“Against the expectations, raalz will not return as IGL,” Into The Breach’s official press release said. “Instead we have young gun alpha, who was brought on board in May of this year after Sprout parted ways with Aaron “AZR” Ward. Despite his tender age, [alpha] has shown to be a versatile player with a keen eye for strategy, making the right calls and approaching his role with great confidence.”

The final addition to the new lineup comes in the form of spooke, a former member of PROSPECTS, the academy squad of 00NATION that is no longer active. Hailing from Sweden, the 21-year-old player primarily showcased his skills in the lower-tier circuit as part of the junior team, where he impressively maintained a 1.09 average rating across an astonishing 376 maps played within a year and a half.
