Virtus.pro List Qikert for Transfer

Virtus.pro have announced that Alexey “Qikert” Golubev is available for transfer

Virtus.pro have publicly declared that Alexey “Qikert” Golubev is now free to entertain offers from other teams. The organization and the player have jointly reached this decision, highlighting their intent to explore alternative career options for the 24-year-old. This development brings an exciting new chapter to Qikert's professional journey.

Qikert’s Legacy At Virtus.pro

Following his success at BLAST Pro Series Moscow 2019 and a remarkable performance at StarLadder Major Berlin 2019, Qikert made the move from AVANGAR to Virtus.pro in December 2019. Since then, he has been an invaluable asset to the team.
During his impressive stint of three-and-a-half years with the Russian organization, he amassed an impressive collection of three LAN titles. His initial victories with Virtus.pro materialized at Flashpoint 2 and cs_summit 7. The team's crowning glory, however, unfolded when they played as Outsiders at the IEM Rio Major 2022.

Why Did Virtus.pro List Qikert for Transfer?

The team's success dwindled thereafter, and their troubles escalated with the ill-fated addition of Aleksandr “KaiR0N-” Anashkin. It turned out to be a disruptive signing for the team, and the club went on to drop him from the quintet during the Paris Major RMRs, before permanently moving him out.
With the recent addition of Nikolay “mir” Bityukov on a long-term contract, Virtus.pro now boast a roster of six players. While the organization has chosen not to disclose their future plans for the lineup and any potential player departures, it has been confirmed that David “n0rb3r7” Danielyan will be unable to participate in the upcoming FiReLEAGUE Battle 2023 due to injury.
While Qikert's name is currently on the transfer list, he has made it clear that he will stay and compete with Virtus.pro until he finds a suitable new team, showcasing his dedication to the organization.
“It's time for me to get out of my comfort zone. We maintain a friendly relationship with all the guys and will keep playing together in the next tournaments until a transfer offer is received. We are ready for changes that will benefit us all in the long run.”
The CEO of Virtus.pro, Nikolai Petrossian, shared his thoughts on the move as well.
“Qikert has been playing in this roster for many years, winning a lot of important trophies. We had a long discussion with Aleksey and the coaching staff, and together we came to the conclusion that he needs to discover new opportunities and restart his career. His talents and experience will be useful to so many teams, so I have no doubt that he will find a place for himself in the competitive scene. Aleksey will continue to play for Virtus.pro at the upcoming tournaments.”
