NIP vs FaZe will see two Counter-Strike heavyweights kickstarting their IEM Cologne 2023 journey

Ninjas In Pyjamas returned from the cusp of elimination to make it to the IEM Cologne Group Stages, but they now face a side against whom they have struggled historically. FaZe also enter the fray fresh off a solid BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2023 campaign, so they are the obvious CSGO betting favorites for the clash.

NIP secured the final spot in the IEM Cologne Group Stages by defeating the resilient Imperial team in a 2-1 battle. Although they lost convincingly on Ancient, the Swedes bounced back with two narrow victories on Overpass and Nuke, the latter being an overtime win.

They, however, went through a slump afterward  which saw them suffer premature exits from the IEM Rio 2023 and Paris Major 2023. Their recent performance in the BLAST Fall Groups 2023, nevertheless, indicates that they are on the path to a successful comeback.
