Two-Time LEC Champion Carzzy Will Make His Return to MAD Lions

Team Vitality ADC Matyáš “Carzzy” Orság will return to the organization he became a LEC champion with.

After spending a couple of years at the bottom of the LEC, Team Vitality came into the 2022 season with the idea of a super team. After recruiting two big-name players that were returning to Europe from North America, Barney “Alphari” Morris and Luka “Perkz” Perković, Carzzy was the last piece of the team that was supposed to dominate LEC. Unfortunately for Vitality, the year didn’t go as planned. They finished fifth in Spring and completely missed playoffs in Summer.

The performance of Carzzy was a big talking point about the down year of Vitality. Many fans felt like he had regressed since his MAD Lions days, and this would be the one and only year he would spend with VIT. It turned out the be true as reports came out yesterday that said Carzzy would be returning to MAD, per Brieuc “LEC Wooloo” Seeger, maybe with the hopes of reigniting the flame.

Carzzy reportedly chose MAD Lions over Fnatic

According to Wooloo’s tweet, the decision came down to Fnatic vs. MAD Lions, with Carzzy deciding to join the latter team. The decision is not exactly surprising considering MAD is his old organization and still has some of his old teammates. At the same time, Fnatic just parted ways with their long-time support, Zdravets “Hylissang” Iliev Galabov.

On the other side of the coin, Team Vitality didn’t have to look for too long for a replacement, as they signed Matúš “Neon” Jakubčík, per Alejandro “anonimotum” Gomis. Neon spent the last year in LEC and became a free agent after Misfits sold their spot in the league to Team Heretics. He is still regarded as one of the top-half ADCs in the league, especially his good year with Misfits.
