RoboCop: Rogue City Playtest Will Take Place Next Week

Developer Teyon and publisher Nacon just announced that RoboCop: Rogue City will receive a closed playtest next week, with the aim of receiving feedback from selected players to get a general idea of the state of the project and how it is perceived by the players. We remind you that the game will be released in September on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X | S, even if at the moment we do not have a precise launch date yet.

RoboCop: Rogue City will have an original story set between RoboCop 2 and RoboCop 3 and, at least for now, it seems to be destined to be a mix between an FPS game and a cyberpunk investigative adventure. Players will be thrust into the streets of rainy Detroit to solve crimes and kill enemies. This is what Teyon said:

“Explore open areas and complete your objectives according to your own sense of justice. Finding evidence, interrogation, and maintaining public order are just some of your daily tasks as a police officer. But don't take decisions lightly: your choices can determine the fate of citizens and the result of your mission.”

Furthermore, it has also been stated that the game “has now reached the point of development where we are looking for feedback from players to help us enhance the game experience we want to provide.” For this reason, the developers have decided to do a closed playtest from July 3 to 9.

If you are interested in taking part in the RoboCop playtest, you can register directly via this website, provided you meet the criteria proposed by Teyon: be at least 18 years old, have a PC that meets the minimum requirements, have Steam and Discord accounts and can speak English to be able to communicate feedback, as well as having to sign an NDA. Obviously, not all subscribers will be sure to participate in the playtest, as confirmed by the developers themselves.
